We had a great turn out this morning for our Evergreen Street planting. The work today involved planting native plants in the beds under the trees we planted last February. The many volunteers made quick work of the job and we now have a beautiful area adjacent to our parking lot planted with native plants. We would like to thank Julia Grey for her work organizing the event and a very big thank you to our many volunteers. This project is part of a grant from the Multnomah Country Soil and Water Conservation Board which enabled us to remove a large section of pavement from our parking lot, plant 9 tress in this area, and today fill the area with native plants.
